Welcome to Ruley's Cane Corsos
Breeding at its Best!
Here at Ruley's Cane Corsos we offer breeding at its best. We produce puppies with the potential to be remarkable dogs either in the show or as a companion, which ever you prefer. All of our dogs have exceptional conformation and produce puppies of just that.
Ruley's Cane Corsos was started with the intentions of producing dogs of perfection. After years of assisting in breeding and showing English bulldogs I felt it was time for something more unique. So my search for dogs began, after exhausting hours reading about different breeds of dogs I came across the Cane Corso. Knowing little about the breed I was intrigued with their level of intelligence, their loyal personality and their overall athletic conformation. They seemed to be the perfect breed for me.
The Cane Corso is one of two Italian "mastiff type" dogs. Originating in southern Italy the name of the Cane Corso derives from the Latin "Cohors" which means "Guardian" and "Protector"; a name that deems true. With the muscular and large-boned structure of the Corso they were often used as property watchdogs and hunting of difficult game.
The head of a Corso is massive with a dignified and proud expression, and his body is long in muscle with short coarse hair. Despite the large powerful build he is graceful. He is majestic and stunning in appearance with a piercing stare of a true "Guardian."
Now knowing of the even-minded and affectionate traits of the Cane Corso, they will always be a part of my life and family; perhaps it is time they became a part of yours!
